Press Hydraulic Systems (PHS)

4 DAY SEMINAR OFFERED ONCE  DURING THE YEAR- Nov. 10-13

Press equipment and other high flow hydraulic systems use logic cartridge valves and circuits, proportional valves and open or closed loop pump systems. During the Press Hydraulic Systems class students become familiar with the typical hydraulic valves and circuits used on press equipment, and how to read and interpret press equipment hydraulic schematics. Students learn all about pumps and controls, regen circuits, press ram circuits with prefill valves, decompression circuits and counterbalance/lock circuits. After completion of this class students will better understand hydraulic circuits used on press equipment and will be better prepared to maintain and troubleshoot equipment in their facility. Students are encouraged to discuss their actual equipment and to bring schematics to the seminar.

Prerequisite: PIH & UPS or consent of the instructor.
